I’ve been mentally composing this post for a week.
Last week I decided to take on a paper route so that I could help out and bring in some extra money while working when the kids are asleep and when the husband can watch them.
It worked out fairly well the first day.
But then it turned out that the route was longer that I had expected. And I was more tired than I had expected. Especially on the day when the kids were awake when I came back home.
Turns out that the pros did not outweigh the cons on the paper route. The length of the route plus the time that it took to deliver the route in addition to the toll it took on our family proved to be greater than the amount of money the route made. Plus it was a lot of backwoods country roads that would be a little treacherous in the winter. And then some.
So now that I’ve been able to sleep for more than 2 hours at a time, I’m back to blogging. Sorry for the absence. I really hadn’t intended for that consequence.
