Family Time with the Harlem Globetrotters
Now that our family is moving toward a healthier lifestyle, we aren’t happy with just loafing in front of the television and munching on pizza anymore. Well, some of us would be happy to do that, but we know we have more willpower than that… and by we, I do mean me. But anyway, the point is that we need to find activities that are great for family time, because we sure are enjoying a lot more of that now that Mom & Dad have more energy.
Since it’s winter here, one of our favorite activities is to play in the snow. And lucky us, Mother Nature decided to bless us with plenty of snow for playing. Just last night, my son and husband were shoveling the driveway when a spontaneous snowball fight broke out. They both swear they have no idea how it happened, but somehow a snowball found its way inside the house to me…
We also like to play family games and to go to sporting events. We’re excited to go to see hockey and baseball this year, but one sport we don’t see very much is basketball. But what an entertaining game it can be! Have you ever seen the Harlem Globetrotters in person? I haven’t – but I’m definitely looking forward to the opportunity! To me, watching a family event that combines entertainment with athletics is a win-win situation. Not only do my kids get to see some really neat tricks, they’re also exposed to a whole new type of fun exercise that they didn’t know before – and that inspires them to move more. Seriously, where’s the downside to that?
“The Harlem Globetrotters love seeing families laugh together during our games, and would love to see your family when we come to a city near you. If you’re looking for an awesome event the whole family will enjoy, get your tickets to the Harlem Globetrotters “You Write the Rules” tour. Your family’s smiles will start before you even get to the game because this year, your family can vote at harlemglobetrotters.com, and decide rules for the game like two balls in play at the same time that could affect the final outcome. After the game, Globetrotters will stay on court to sign autographs and take photographs with your kids. The only thing better than finding an event the whole family will enjoy, is getting a great deal on it. Save $7 per ticket* by using the promo code “TOGETHER“. Get ready to experience a show your family will remember for a lifetime! *Discount available on select ticket levels”
