Hey ladies! It’s my first post-campaign check in, and I have to tell you it has been a crazy busy week! I’m not really sure how everything coincided with the end of the campaign, but it was like a just had a HUGE amount of things going on this week. It definitely helped the week go by quickly, and now here I am making my first Mamavation post on my own blog in 2 months! Wild!
So anyway, this week was week 1 of the 2 Week Challenge, and my husband is doing it with me. I also did some running training this week, but nothing super hard or fast because I wanted to make sure my hip was really ready for it because I’m all signed up to run the Shamrock Shuffle in Chicago on the first weekend in April! My eating was not the best this week – something about NOT having to write everything down made me kind of giddy, but I still did pay attention to what I was eating and not go hog wild on serving sizes.
My boys and I had a lot of fun on Thursday when we went down to the Botanical Conservatory in Fort Wayne with our moms group. They had this super fun Jungle Adventure set up and my boys just loved it!
My grandmother used to take my older brother and I there when we were younger, so it is ALWAYS fun to see my kids enjoying it too! The programs they have now are so neat. I just love the smell of Spring in the air, regardless the season outdoors, when we visit.
So that was part of the fun of our week! Now to the really important stuff – my weight loss! I ended the campaign with a total weight loss of 32.2 pounds. This week I lost an additional 3 pounds, bringing me to a total weight loss of 35.2 pounds. So exciting! I’m totally wearing clothes now that didn’t even fit well the last time I wore them – BEFORE my wedding 6 years ago!
