So I recently realized that I’ve become a little stagnant in my health and fitness goals. I’m the kind of person who likes to have a REASON to be doing something, so making up my own workouts and all just don’t quite have the same zing as following a specific plan for a specific purpose. So I’ve decided to bite the bullet and start a training plan for a half marathon. I’ve selected a 12 week training plan from Hal Higdon, and I have 20 weeks until my first half marathon, which will be the Santa Hustle in Indianapolis on December 15, 2013. So basically, the next 8 weeks are me getting back into the habit of running and cross training regularly… and I desperately need to get back in that habit!
The school year is starting in our area, with some districts already in school and my son’s school starting in September. This time of year is always my favorite and reminds me that so very many things are possible, as long as we put our minds to it. I hope you enjoy it too! I know this is like a crazy short post, but to be honest, my brain has totally left me. The stress of building a new house and moving with our move date pushed back several times has really gotten to me. More happy fun times to come!
